NPA Summer Workshop Info and RSVP

ALL ABOUT COLLEGE for Juniors and Seniors 
2 day Workshop (Plus follow-up Counseling sessions)
Saturday, July 19 at 8:30am-12:30pm and Sunday, July 20 at 12-4pm
This hands-on workshop will include beginning the Common App completion process, as well as the following:

• Personalized transcript evaluation
• Test score evaluation 
• Timelines for juniors and seniors
• College selection advising
• Holistic application review/evaluation
• Personal statements and supplemental application questions
• Includes 3 follow up contacts with Guidance Masters counselors after workshop (email, text, or Skype)

Students need to bring transcripts and any SAT/ ACT scores to the workshop.

PARENT PLANNING Workshop
Saturday, July 19 at 6-8pm
This two hour workshop will focus on providing information, timelines, and insight for Parents of Juniors and Seniors who are beginning the College Application Process.  Topics will include:

• College selection - Where should my son/daughter apply?
  
• Application Information: UC, CSU, Out of State, Private, The Common Application, Supplemental Submissions and Applications, Letters of Recommendation
  
• The Personal Statement - Guidelines for getting students started
  
• Testing - SAT/ACT testing dates, Testing Optional Schools, Preparation for final testing options 
  
• Application Deadlines 
  
• Financial Aid Information - Overview and timelines 
• A variety of helpful hints, websites, and resources
